When you work with *.las and *.laz files and want to do customized import, you might want to set the scale. eCognition sets the scale automatically to 1m. If you want to change this to lets say 0.1 meters you will have to adjust the Search String including the information about the resolution:

{{root}\{any-folders}\{scene}.las?unit=meters&res=0.1:reverse}
