!!!READ THIS (it's a good one!)!!!

By default eCogntion saves your temporary layers and point cloud classifications when saving a project. This means for example, that if you calculate additional raster layers within eCognition they will be written onto your hard drive when saving the project (your NDVI layer, NDWI layer, etc. ...). If you don't want to save your temporary layers, saving runs way faster but when opening the project you will need to calculate those layers again (if you want/need them).

To change the default settings you will need to use the "set rule set options" algorithm, change the parameter "Save temp. Layers and point cloud classifications" to "NO" and execute the process.
