We want to segment this image to find the amount of sand grains in different sizes. the problem is that the grains seem to float into each other when you take a close look. Are there anyone who has experience with this type of problem. We get segmentation around 50-80 % of each grain, but then they float together. we have use all filter techniques in eCognition (there are quite a few) and no one manages to solve our problem.
