Active image layer changes when running contrast filter algorithm

Every time I run the contrast filter segmentation algorithm, the active layer changes. For example, if I have 10 image layers and I am looking at layer 9, after running the algorithm layer 8 will be active.  I seem to activate the layer above the one I'm looking at.  Is there a setting that I'm missing to turn off this behavior?

    This appears to be a display bug. We will do our best to fix it quickly. In the meantime, you have 2 work-arounds:

    1. Manually readjust your layer mixing in the view settings window after running the algo.
    2. Add a set custom view settings algo. to automatically readjust your layer mixing post segmentation algo.
