Algorithm 'execute child processes in parallel' for advanced multicore processing
Multi core processing is already available for selected algorithms and features in eCognition, but I would like to see the possibility to use multiple CPU cores also for processes where multi core is not possible. Idea is an algorithm “execute child processes in parallel” where users have to define maps or objects in the algorithm domain which will be processed with the child processes of this parent process as if they were independent projects. Once all maps/objects have been processed, the processing continues with the rest of the rule set. Would be hard to support but offers new possibilities to speed up processing.
